Physical Therapist Assistant - PRN Pine Creek
About The Position
Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy team at Pine Creek Rehab, a community-based nursing home in West Salt Lake City. We need approximately 10 hours of patient care each week. You can split that up by working a couple of hours each weekday, or a couple of longer hours during the week. In skilled nursing, small progress creates life-changing impact. Our goal is to help each patient regain mobility, confidence, and independence so they can safely transition to the next level of care. If you enjoy working with older adults, value flexibility, and want to be part of a supportive clinical team, this is a great PRN opportunity.
Requirements
- Active Utah PTA license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Interest in geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes
Nice To Haves
- SNF experience preferred (one year ideal), but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, functional therapy to a geriatric population, including gait and mobility retraining, transfer training across all levels of assistance, strengthening, balance, and fall prevention.
- Support patients with medically complex conditions.
- Collaborate with the supervising PT on care progression.
- Work alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery.
