About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the plan of treatment and education of his/her patients. Based on goals established in the initial evaluation by a Physical Therapist, the PTA will use skill in carrying out an individual treatment plan for the restoration of patient function. The Physical Therapist Assistant will use any skills and/or equipment available in treating patients. The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for appropriate patient treatment and education under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant is also responsible for the maintenance of an accurate medical record relative to a patient’s treatment. This position is W17 on the Lexington Clinic wage scale.

Requirements

  • Current State licensure or eligibility
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members of the medical team, patients and families
  • Ability to work closely with all levels of clinical staff, management and administration

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a physical therapist assistant associate degree program accredited by CAPTE
