Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Live to Move Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a compassionate physical therapist assistant to join their family-owned outpatient physical therapy clinic. The clinic currently has two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant on staff. This role emphasizes a wholistic and active approach to patient care, with a minimum of 45 minutes spent with each patient. A rehab tech is always available to assist during the 15-minute overlap in patient schedules. The clinic aims to foster growth and enjoyment in the workplace. The patient population is primarily orthopedic, including common post-operative cases (shoulder, knee, hip, spine), with a small percentage of neurological conditions, most commonly stroke. Vestibular conditions are rare but experience in this area is preferred.
Requirements
- Compassionate team player.
- Skilled in manual therapy.
- Ability to treat patients with a wholistic and active approach.
- Experience with orthopedic and post-operative patients (shoulder/knee/hip/spine).
- Experience with neurological conditions, specifically stroke.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems (Jane App mentioned).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with vestibular conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct treatment to patients, including manual therapy.
- Complete progress notes and daily notes.
- Delegate exercises and duties to the rehab tech.
- Enter patient records, assessments, and daily therapy notes into the clinic's EMR (Jane App).
- Help with social media content creation as time allows.
