About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist to help administer the Physical Therapist’s treatment plan. The role administers and monitors patients’ responses to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with that plan.

The primary location is Sheridan, serving industrial rehabilitation and neurologically impaired patient populations. The position may also serve orthopedic and aquatic patient populations at other locations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• State license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Analytical ability to identify and report changes in a patient’s condition.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information accurately.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering the Physical Therapist’s treatment plan under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Administer and monitor patients’ responses to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments.
• Identify and report changes in patients’ conditions to a Physical Therapist.
• Gather and exchange patient condition information with patients, families, and other treatment team members.
