Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide quality home healthcare to patients in Braintree, Massachusetts. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling and pay of $37–$50 per visit, plus mileage reimbursement and licensure reimbursement. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA provides skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes. The role helps patients improve mobility, strength, safety, and independence through individualized, one-on-one care. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused and offers experienced clinical and administrative support. Its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling opportunities while preserving the flexibility of per diem home care. Ongoing training and professional development are available.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- At least one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.
Nice To Haves

- Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions as directed by a Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with transfers and safe mobility techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
