About The Position

Are you a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant looking for a new adventure? We are seeking a passionate and patient-centered PTA to join our team. This role is located at our Outpatient Therapy at Northwest Healthcare: 1150 Graham Road, Suite 104, Florissant, MO 63031. Northwest HealthCare offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. Provides outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatments for patients with any number of physical impairments which affect their ability to function and/or cause pain. Department is staffed by physical therapists, physical therapists' assistants, and aides.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
  • Associate's Degree - PT Assistant
  • No Experience
  • No Experience (Supervisor Experience)
  • PTA (License & Certification)

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist as specified in their health care service setting.
  • Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
  • Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
  • Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from physical therapy.
  • Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.
  • Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
