About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing home healthcare team in Sandwich, Massachusetts. This Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position offers competitive rates, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Home care offers a unique opportunity to get to know your patients and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Each visit is different, and you’ll have the autonomy to provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs. At Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services, we’re clinician-owned and clinician-focused, understanding what therapists need to feel supported and successful. Our participation in the ABI Waiver Program helps provide clinicians with consistent scheduling while still offering flexibility and independence.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
• Afternoon availability

Responsibilities

• Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Assessing patients’ home environments and reinforcing appropriate safety strategies
• Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
