Responsibilities

  • Be a core member of the treatment team and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
  • Utilize a dynamic and functional approach to help patients overcome functional limitations related to musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Combine manual therapy techniques and exercise strategies to help patients move and feel their best.
  • Take a whole-body approach to locate the source of a patient’s injury, pain, or dysfunction.
  • Communicate with the Therapist to ensure accurate interpretation of a patient's plan of care and instructions for the rehabilitative program.
  • Comply with insurance authorization guidelines as directed by the Therapist.
  • Report on patients’ status and progress, to include but not limited to, performing measurements, making clinical observations and gathering supplementary information provided by the patient.
  • Consider individual patient treatment goals and activities based on the Therapist's evaluation of patient data and demographics.
  • Administer treatment to improve and maintain medically necessary and appropriate intervention and evaluates its effects.
  • Communicate with the Therapist and provide direction to the physical therapy technician appropriately for assistance in completion of patient care.
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and company policies.
  • Take proactive measures to follow and remain current on professional documentation and reimbursement guidelines.
