Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
Active Texas PTA License + valid Texas Driver’s License
Solid therapy practice standards, great interpersonal skills, current BLS CPR (healthcare provider), DME knowledge
Reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance

Nice To Haves

Home health preferred
EMR HomeCare HomeBase a plus

Responsibilities

Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the PT
Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to participate in teaching the patient and family
Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients
Meets mandatory continuing education requirements; participates in in service programs
Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency
Proficient and comfortable using technology to communicate and perform essential job functions.
