About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an outpatient physical therapy team in Hico, Texas. In this role, you will provide hands-on rehabilitative care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and individualized treatment plans to improve physical function, strength, and overall quality of life. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed PTA with at least one year of experience who enjoys working directly with patients in an outpatient setting. The position offers a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule, competitive hourly compensation, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance of up to $3,000.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant educational program.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to administer prescribed physical therapy interventions, monitor patient responses, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccinations.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience providing physical therapy services in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
Familiarity with WebPT electronic documentation software.
Experience treating patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, mobility, or functional rehabilitation needs.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with supervising Physical Therapists while managing assigned patient treatment responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, strengthening programs, mobility training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation.
Monitor patient progress, treatment responses, and functional improvements, communicating relevant findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and patient education to support recovery and functional independence.
Utilize WebPT for accurate and timely patient documentation, treatment notes, and progress reporting.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment while following infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
Ensure all treatments and documentation comply with applicable professional standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
Support daily outpatient clinic operations to maintain efficient patient flow and continuity of care.
