About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant delivers physical therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). The role supports high-quality care and positive engagement with clients and facilities, in accordance with physical therapy principles and Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supervising Rehab Technicians when applicable, and managing patient cases. The position requires a professional approach to service and client relationships and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.

Requirements

Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

Support patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed PT.
Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program.
Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards.
Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality as appropriate and ensure compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where licensed.
Implement treatment plans, supervise Rehab Technicians as applicable, and manage patient cases.
