About The Position

Join our NovaCare outpatient orthopedic center in Mitchellville, Maryland, and be part of a respected clinical team delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages and abilities. We are seeking a full-time licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA). We can consider new graduate physical therapist assistants, with experienced clinicians onsite to offer mentorship. This is a full-time, 40-hour work week (no weekends) that will require two nights of treating until 7 PM. The last patient is scheduled an hour prior. We focus on personalized treatments that restore function and help patients get back to the activities they love whether it's sports, work, or everyday life. Requirements

College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
CPR certification

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
