About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for inpatient rehabilitation in Dallas, Texas. Under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, the assistant helps implement therapy plans of care and supports patient care within the scope of practice. The role also includes directing supportive personnel for assigned patients, communicating with the supervising physical therapist, and participating in education for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Certified BLS, or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist with implementation of therapy plans of care under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
Communicate consistently with the supervising physical therapist about scheduled patients and the need for assessment or reassessment, treatment-plan modifications, and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
Participate in education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
Perform other professional duties associated with patient care within the scope of practice.
