About The Position

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Columbia, MD is seeking a full-time or part-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) to join their leading sports medicine team. This Select Center of Excellence (COE) specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, concussion, vestibular issues, FCE's, POETs, and an ACL Program. The facility features a 25-yard turf field, modern equipment, and innovative technology. The PTA will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals and athletes return to peak function. The role offers robust growth opportunities through the nation's largest Continuing Education program, a collaborative and supportive team culture with on-site mentorship, and flexible scheduling. Full-time employees work 40 hours/week, including two evenings until 7:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the last patient at 6:30 PM.

Requirements

College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
CPR certification

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
