Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home healthcare in Pepperell, Massachusetts. The PTA provides skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients build strength, improve mobility, and work toward greater independence through individualized care. The role offers flexible scheduling and one-on-one patient care, with support from clinical and administrative leadership. VRNS’s ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling while maintaining the flexibility and independence of home health.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care experience.
- Monday–Friday availability.
- Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled therapy interventions under a Physical Therapist’s direction.
- Assist patients with transfers and safe mobility.
- Teach patients and caregivers exercises and safety techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete timely and accurate electronic documentation.
