About The Position

Royal Oak Nursing Center has provided extraordinary services to residents for over 35 years! We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality care to our residents. The PTA provides rehab and therapy services under the supervision of Physical Therapists and the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

  • Ability to present a positive attitude, and carry out respectful relationships and communication with residents, peer staff, families, guests, and vendors.
  • Have a clear and active Physical Therapist Assistant license with the State of Florida.
  • Have a valid CPR certification.
  • Have a clear level II background screen.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to lift 60-70lbs frequently.
  • Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit, push/pull) intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
  • Knowledgeable of therapy practices and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations specific to therapy.
  • Other qualifications as outlined in the Job Description.

Responsibilities

  • Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapists and plans of care.
  • Record clinical documentation and daily treatment changes.
  • Communicate with team members and providers regarding resident progress, problems and plans.
  • Routinely verify department equipment is in clean and working order.
  • Other responsibilities as outlined in the Job Description.
