About The Position
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant, sometimes referred to as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) or Physical Therapy Assistant. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help carry out treatment plans for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. Their responsibilities include guiding patients through prescribed exercises, assisting with mobility and ambulation, monitoring patient progress, and providing support in documenting treatment outcomes. Aimed at improving function, reducing pain, and promoting safe discharge.
Requirements
- A.A. Degree
- Current state Physical Therapist Assistance license
- Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist, provides medically prescribed therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders.
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with Physical Therapy, state and federal regulatory, licensing and accrediting requirements.
