About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing home healthcare team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. This role offers professional independence, flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and meaningful one-on-one patient care.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
• Afternoon availability

Responsibilities

• Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Assessing patients’ home environments and reinforcing appropriate safety strategies
• Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
