This PRN position is located at Barbourville Health and Rehab in Barbourville, KY, within a Long-Term Care setting. The rate range is $35-$38/hr, based on years of experience. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
  • Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
