About The Position

As a full time, nonexempt Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence. Working under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists, you'll implement treatment plans, support patient progress, and contribute to a collaborative care environment. The West Branch Ambulatory Care Center focuses on orthopedics, neurosurgery, and medical specialty services for adult and pediatric patients. Patients who are either acute or outpatient are helped to heal and improve their quality of life through a treatment plan of physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or speech and language pathology. The Care Center serves those in the counties of Ogemaw, Oscoda, Roscommon, Arenac and Iosco. This brand new, state-of-the-art clinic is conveniently located at the intersection of M-76 and Airport Road just outside of West Branch.

Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing (or eligibility)
1+ year of outpatient treatment experience

Nice To Haves

2+ years of outpatient experience

Responsibilities

Perform physical therapy treatments according to plan of care in outpatient, acute care, or home health settings
Monitor patient responses to treatment and ensure exercises are performed safely and correctly
Document via Epic or Homecare application
Perform clinical upkeep as needed
Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff
Adhere to state practice acts, facility policies, and professional standards
