About The Position
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Full-Time / Part-Time Norwichtown Rehab & Healthcare Norwich, CT $34–$38/hour LTC Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services within our skilled nursing facility. We are looking for a motivated clinician who enjoys working in a collaborative setting focused on helping residents improve movement, endurance, and overall functional ability.
Requirements
- Active PTA license required
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Carry out therapy programs designed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with walking programs, transfer practice, strengthening exercises, and balance activities
- Observe resident performance during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the PT
- Encourage safe mobility and participation in therapy activities
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation and progress notes
