About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home healthcare to patients in Pepperell, Massachusetts. This per diem role delivers skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA helps patients improve mobility, strength, safety, and independence through individualized, one-on-one care. The position offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, licensure reimbursement, clinical and administrative support, and ongoing training and professional development. VRNS is clinician-owned and clinician-focused; its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling opportunities while retaining the flexibility of per diem home care.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- At least one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home care experience.
- Monday–Friday availability.
- Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions as directed by a Physical Therapist.
- Assist with transfers and safe mobility techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
