About The Position

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Westchester, IL. This role is crucial in assisting licensed physical therapists with providing high-quality care, primarily in orthopedics and post-surgical cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a dedication to helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a PTA in IL ( or willingness to apply)
• CPR Certified.
• Strong communication skills.
• Energetic and a team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional patient care and services.
• Progressing patient's plan of care that has been established by the physical therapist.
• Periodic written and dictated communication to physicians through progress notes and discharge summaries after consulting with supervising PT regarding patient's plan of care.
• Frequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate treatment plan, follow-up appointments, and potential discharge for patients.
• Supervising rehabilitation aides with patient care and administrative staff as needed.
• Daily paperwork. All PT Assistants are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts and completing all written communications in a timely manner.
