Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or license-eligible.
  • Strong therapeutic abilities with a natural knack for engaging children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using pediatric therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Implement customized pediatric treatment plans designed by supervising Physical Therapists.
  • Provide direct care utilizing therapeutic exercises, neuromotor activities, manual therapy, and modality applications tailored to children.
  • Closely monitor and document patient progress.
  • Report clinical observations to the Physical Therapist and educate families/caregivers on treatment protocols, home exercises, and adaptive techniques.
  • Maintain pristine, timely documentation of patient treatments and behavioral responses in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Partner closely with supervising PTs, fellow therapists (OT, SLP, ABA), and support staff to ensure seamlessly coordinated care.
