About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant in Williamsburg, Virginia, for an outpatient rehab therapy setting. This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with comprehensive benefits. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. The role involves assisting in the development of treatment plans, carrying out routine functions, and documenting the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. You will also provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers and supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members. Requirements

  • Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Required), obtained in a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program.
  • Holds a current Physical Therapist Licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification American Heart Association (AHA) RQI.

Responsibilities

  • Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans.
  • Carry out routine functions.
  • Document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.
  • Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
  • Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
