About The Position
Rehab Advantage & Sports Medicine is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide services within CoreCivic facilities in Ohio. This PRN role typically follows a 3-day per week schedule, offering flexibility with consistent patient volume. The role offers a competitive per-patient rate with an earning potential of $60,000–$80,000. This position provides a reliable and predictable patient flow, with a current caseload of 30 visits that will increase when the PTA is on-site, contributing to excellent work-life balance. Rehab Advantage & Sports Medicine has a long-standing partnership with CoreCivic, delivering rehabilitation services across correctional facilities. Their multidisciplinary model includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology, focused on improving patient outcomes while enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Therapists work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as part of an integrated healthcare team. The on-site care model treats patients directly within facilities, reducing the need for off-site transportation, lowering costs, improving continuity of care, and enhancing safety. Their clinical philosophy emphasizes conservative, evidence-based care to restore function, relieve pain, and improve quality of life. The company is expanding its services and is actively onboarding CoreCivic facilities in Mississippi, Ohio, and Kansas.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Active Ohio PTA license in good standing
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, and function
- Communicate patient progress with supervising PT and team
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility guidelines
