About The Position

Nesin Therapy Services, part of Intune Physical Therapy, is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their dedicated team. The PTA will work alongside licensed Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional rehabilitative care, focusing on helping patients restore mobility and improve their quality of life. The role is based in a thriving clinic environment in the Huntsville area, with flexible shift preferences including part-time, full-time, and PRN. Intune Physical Therapy supports local clinics like Nesin Therapy Services with resources and systems to foster growth while maintaining their unique clinical identity and strong patient relationships.

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise principles
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform treatments
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or eligibility to obtain
State license/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing or eligibility to obtain
Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTAs or eligibility to take exam

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
Provide therapeutic interventions including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual techniques
Document patient responses to treatment and progress toward goals
Communicate effectively with the supervising PT about patient status
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area
Educate patients and families about home exercise programs and equipment use
Participate in team meetings and contribute to clinic operations
Participate, as requested and with reasonable notice, in community outreach, local events, patient education, employer/school outreach, or relationship-building activities that support clinic growth, brand awareness, and community engagement. Frequency may vary by market, business need, and role.
