About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient hospital team in Anaheim, CA. You will execute physical rehabilitative programs to improve patient quality of life. This is a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position, weekends PRN. You will provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation activities. Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
• Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patients medical history
• Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person
• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients with clear goals and expected outcomes
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on manual therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
• Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
• Assist in evaluation of client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
• Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise Instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program
• Observe patients during treatments and reports observations to Physical Therapist
• Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
