About The Position

Performs selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. Other duties may include documentation of treatment progress, modification of specific treatment in accordance with patient status within the plan of care, and supervision of Physical Therapy Technicians. Requirements

Associate Degree with satisfactory completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
Current South Dakota licensure as a physical therapist assistant.
Physical stamina requisite to lift, carry and/or otherwise move and manipulate the equipment used in evaluation and treatment.
Physical stamina requisite to standing, walking, stooping, pulling, pushing and lifting while transporting or transferring patients and performing treatments.
Visual, auditory and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication with patients, families, physicians and other persons involved with the patient's care.
