The Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for answering phone calls, briefing patients and their families on after-therapy care, guiding patients through exercises, lifting or moving patients, monitoring patients during sessions, sanitizing the therapy area, setting up therapy equipment, massaging and stretching muscles, and scheduling appointments. This role requires a certification from a physical therapist assistant program, a valid physical therapist assistant license, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess computer literacy skills. The working conditions may involve exposure to distressed patients, families, or visitors, and possible exposure to inside environmental conditions. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A high school graduate or equivalent is required, along with an active MO license for Physical Therapy Assistant.
