About The Position

Seaport Scripps Home Health, a Scripps Health joint venture and part of The Pennant Group, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for its Home Health team serving South County, San Diego. The role provides in-home physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s Plan of Care. The coverage area is Santee to Imperial Beach/San Ysidro. The pay range is $40–$50 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

• Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s Plan of Care.
• Assist patients with mobility, strength, pain management, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Use physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
• Educate patients on the use of assistive devices, including wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Monitor and report patient progress and changes in condition.
