About The Position
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a single-location orthopedic outpatient clinic. This role is centered on helping patients recover from injuries, improve movement, reduce limitations, and return to daily activities with better function. The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients, creating care plans, providing treatment, and guiding progress throughout the recovery process. This is a strong outpatient PTA opportunity with flexible scheduling, full benefits, and a clear clinic setting.
Requirements
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant License
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with evaluations for orthopedic outpatient patients
- Assist in developing treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
- Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and mobility training under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Adjust treatment based on patient response and progress
- Teach home exercise programs and recovery strategies
- Complete evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries
- Work with the clinic team to support organized patient care
