Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for an outpatient rehab therapy center in Chesapeake, Virginia. This is a Full Time Day shift opportunity with great benefits. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. You may assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. You will also provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers, and supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Requirements
- Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of a physical therapist.
- May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.
- Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
- Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
