About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide home care in Watertown, Massachusetts. The role pays $37–$50 per visit and offers flexible scheduling. The PTA provides skilled physical therapy services in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, working with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. VRNS is clinician-owned and clinician-focused. Its participation in the ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling while preserving flexibility and independence. The PTA receives support from an experienced clinical and administrative team while building a schedule that works for their life. The position offers a part-time benefits package, mileage and licensure reimbursement, and ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
At least one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Previous home care experience.
Monday–Friday availability.
Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Assess patients’ home environments and reinforce appropriate safety strategies.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other care team members.
Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
Provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs.
