About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its home healthcare team in Stoughton, Massachusetts. This is a part-time home care position paying $37–$50 per visit. The PTA provides skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role involves working with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Home care offers individualized one-on-one patient care, professional independence, and flexible scheduling, with support from experienced clinical and administrative leadership. VRNS participates in the ABI Waiver Program, which helps provide clinicians with consistent scheduling while retaining flexibility and independence.

Requirements

Hold a current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
Have a minimum of one year of clinical experience.
Have afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Previous home care experience.
Monday–Friday availability.
Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Assess patients’ home environments and reinforce appropriate safety strategies.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other care team members.
Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
