Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide home healthcare to patients in Hudson, Massachusetts. This is a per diem role offering flexible scheduling and pay of $37–$50 per visit. The PTA provides individualized, one-on-one skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, strength, safety, and independence. The position offers mileage reimbursement, licensure reimbursement, clinical and administrative support, and ongoing training and professional development. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused and notes that its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling opportunities while preserving per diem flexibility.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions as directed by a Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with transfers and safe mobility techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
