About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join its home healthcare team in Hamilton, Massachusetts. The PTA provides skilled physical therapy services in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role works with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, functional independence, safety, and quality of life. This position offers flexible scheduling, compensation of $37–$50 per visit, mileage and licensure reimbursement, and a part-time benefits package. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused, with clinical and administrative support. Participation in the ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling while retaining flexibility and independence. The position requires afternoon availability.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
At least one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Previous home care experience.
Monday–Friday availability.
Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Assess patients’ home environments and reinforce appropriate safety strategies.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other care-team members.
Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
Provide individualized care based on each patient’s needs.
