About The Position

Total Health Systems is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality patient care as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary healthcare team. The position is based at the New Baltimore location and works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Compensation is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend availability required. The role includes carrying out physical therapy interventions and patient care plans, communicating with and educating patients, and recommending other clinic services when appropriate. It also involves clinical documentation and scheduling, compliance with insurance documentation requirements, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, reporting irregularities to management, and keeping professional licensure in good standing. The position maintains professional relationships with patients, clinicians, management, coworkers, office staff, and suppliers.

Requirements

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Two-year degree, as indicated in the job details.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Follow patient care plans established by the Physical Therapist.
Educate and communicate with patients to support their recovery.
Recommend other beneficial clinic services to patients as needed.
Use e-Thomas for scheduling and posting and the EHR for patient documentation.
Securely access scanned patient records using unique login credentials.
Maintain detailed patient documentation that meets insurance requirements.
Report unusual or irregular problems to management.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain professional licensure in good standing.
Maintain positive professional relationships with patients, the managing Physical Therapist, physicians and physician assistants, company management, coworkers and office staff, and supplier personnel.
