Requirements

• Graduate of physical therapy assistant program with curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Active State of Washington Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year experience working with the elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides interventions as part of the established PT plan of care.
• Collaborates with PT regarding patient progress and treatments.
• Educates participants and/or family in care as part of Healthy Aging and Wellness Program.
• Implements plan of care with input from PT as needed.
• Regularly informs the interdisciplinary team (IDT) of the medical, functional, and psychosocial condition of participants.
• Remains alert to pertinent input from other team members and participant caregivers.
• Documents changes in a participant’s medical record consistent with documentation policies.
