The Physical Therapist Assistant provides patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting. The role includes treating and educating patients, documenting care, supporting clinic operations and treatment protocols, and contributing to research and continued professional development. Requirements

Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant.
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Treat patients, answer questions, and educate them about injuries, progress, and long-term wellness strategies.
Supervise Techs during modalities for all federal payers and non-BCBSM patients, and assist with setup and cleanup.
Complete accurate, timely documentation for daily notes and discharges.
Meet productivity expectations of 60 treatments in a 40-hour week in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
Assist in developing and refining treatment protocols.
Participate in clinic research studies.
Continue professional growth through CEUs and approved coursework.
