About The Position
Earn $40 an hour as a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at The Shores, a UMC community in Ocean City, NJ. Work day shifts on your schedule, with weekend shifts available if you want extra hours.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Jersey
- Prior experience in a sub-acute rehab or home health therapy setting
- Comfortable working with older adults in a skilled nursing or short-term rehab setting
- Annual flu vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions considered)
- Offer contingent on a negative drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Net Health Therapy documentation software
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy interventions and exercises under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with mobility, strengthening, balance, and functional activity programs
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Physical Therapist
- Encourage and support residents throughout their rehabilitation journey
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with community and state requirements
