About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Rehabilitation in Plano (Alliance) is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team. This role provides outpatient physical therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including post-operative conditions, chronic pain, amputees, pain management, TMJ, and vestibular issues. The ideal candidate will be proactive, a team player, a self-starter, and interested in program and clinical development. Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, the PTA assists in implementing the therapy plan of care, delegates and directs supportive personnel, and communicates consistently with the supervising PT regarding patient status and treatment plan modifications. The role also involves educating patients, families, students, and coworkers, as well as participating in ongoing self-education. Other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice are also expected.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
- Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
- Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
- Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
- Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.
