About The Position

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center in Plains, Pennsylvania. The PTA provides care to patients of all ages and abilities, helping maximize functionality and achieve optimal outcomes. The clinical team supports patients in returning to athletics, work, daily life, and the activities they enjoy.

This is a per diem position based out of the Plains outpatient clinic, with coverage at other locations in the SWB as needed. Center hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; the center closes at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays. One evening per week until 6:30 p.m. is preferred. Indirect supervision is preferred. Compensation is $32–$40 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license or license in process.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Indirect supervision experience or capability is preferred.
• Availability for one evening per week until 6:30 p.m. is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act.
• Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
