Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Hospital Acute Care - Full Time
About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support the recovery, mobility, and functional independence of patients in a hospital setting. Key responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans, assisting with patient mobility and exercise programs, documenting progress in the electronic medical record, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and efficient discharge planning. The PTA will also participate in team meetings, contribute to quality and process improvement initiatives, and support department goals for excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience in acute care or a comparable clinical environment preferred
- Licensed in the state which services are performed
