About The Position
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will play a critical role in helping patients regain strength, confidence, and independence. In home health, you'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with patients in their own homes. Your work will have a lasting impact by helping someone safely walk again or regain the confidence to live independently. This role offers the chance to treat one patient at a time without the distractions of a busy clinic, build meaningful relationships, and observe functional progress in real-life environments. Requirements
- Active Minnesota Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Passion for helping patients improve mobility and independence.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Home health experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and home programs.
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
