About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join WelbeHealth in Stockton, California. This opportunity is ideal for a rehabilitation professional who enjoys working closely with older adults and wants to make a meaningful difference in the mobility, independence, and quality of life of patients with complex care needs. Working under the direction of a Physical Therapist, you will help implement individualized treatment plans, guide therapeutic exercises and mobility activities, monitor patient progress, and provide hands-on support to a frail and elderly patient population. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $74,000 – $99,000 annually and the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients while helping them maintain their independence and functional abilities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program.
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or documented eligibility for licensure.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of professional experience.
  • Clinical knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly patients with complex healthcare needs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other members of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required.
  • Professional experience working with adult and/or geriatric patients.
  • Professional PTA experience outside of an exclusively pediatric setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with adult or geriatric patient populations.
  • Rehabilitation experience involving older adults with complex medical or mobility needs.
  • Experience supporting therapeutic exercise, mobility training, functional rehabilitation, and individualized treatment plans.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches to geriatric rehabilitation and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
