The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility. Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
  • Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
  • Current PTA license in state of practice.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
  • Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
  • Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
  • Team-oriented and patient-focused with strong communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
