About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility. The Rehabilitation Institute of South San Antonio is a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital located at 12011 SE Loop 410 Access Road in San Antonio, Texas. It’s designed for individuals recovering from serious injuries or illnesses that have affected their ability to function independently. This new, state-of-the-art facility provides intensive, patient-focused rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. It specializes in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence after events like strokes, traumatic injuries, or surgeries. Requirements
- Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
- Current PTA license in state of practice.
- CPR certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
- Team-oriented and patient-focused with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
- Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
- Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
