The purpose of this role is to assist in providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care under the supervision of licensed therapists. The Physical Therapist Assistant PTA will implement and execute established patient treatment plans, communicate with patients, families, referring physicians, and other team members. This role also involves providing timely written documentation per facility and department requirements, developing and enhancing clinical and professional skills, and supporting department operations. The PTA will report any changes in patient status or needs to the supervising therapist and prepare and submit patient charges accurately for billing. They will also meet or exceed productivity standards, ensure the safety of self and others, achieve quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication, and attend required meetings. Additionally, the PTA will provide constructive feedback to rehab aides, attend in-services and training sessions, coordinate treatment goals with team members, maintain valid licensure and certifications, and stay aware of patient and community needs.
