About The Position

Ascension Via Christi is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for their Outpatient facility in Wichita, KS. This full-time position is part of the Physical Therapy specialty and operates on a day shift schedule. The role involves delivering personalized physical therapy interventions under a professional plan of care to help patients regain independence and mobility, executing specialized therapeutic techniques, documenting patient care, and collaborating with support personnel and students.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized physical therapy interventions under a professional plan of care to help patients regain their independence and mobility.
• Execute specialized therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient’s unique needs to ensure the highest quality of recovery and safety.
• Document patient care journeys with precision to maintain accurate, high-quality records that support seamless clinical transitions.
• Collaborate with and coordinate the activities of support personnel and students to foster a cohesive, efficient, and educational team environment.
